हे महामंगलमयी पुण्यभूमि! आपके ही कार्य में मेरा यह शरीर अर्पण हो। आपको बारम्बार नमन है, नमन है।

अच्छे लोगों के ही साथ रहें, अच्छे लोगों के ही साथ संबद्ध (स्वयं को) करें, यहाँ तक ​​कि अच्छे लोगों के साथ ही विवाद एवं मित्रता करें, लेकिन बुरे लोगों से कोई भी व्यवहार न रखें।

Be with good people, associate (yourself) with good people, even have a dispute or friendship with good people,  but do not have anything to do with the evil ones.

जो लोग प्रतिदिन सूर्य नमस्कार करते हैं, उनकी आयु, प्रज्ञा, बल, वीर्य और तेज बढ़ता है। हजारों जन्मों तक वे दरिद्र नहीं होते हैं।

Those who do *Surya Namaskar* daily, their age, intelligence, strength, power and radiance increase. They will not have poverty for thousands of births.

परम् कर्तव्य

*ये पायवो मामतेयं ते अग्ने, पश्यन्तो अन्धं दुरितादरक्षन्।*

*ररक्ष तान्त्सुकृतो विश्ववेदा, दिप्सन्त इद्रिपवो नाह  देभुः।।*

ऋग्वेद : प्रथम मण्डल। 

परोपकार और परमार्थ के कार्यों में निंदा, लांछन, उपहास आदि का भय नहीं करना चाहिए। ऐसे मनुष्यों की रक्षा स्वयं परमात्मा करता है। अतः निश्चिंत होकर लोक - कल्याण में लगे रहना चाहिए।

While doing charity and welfare for others, one should not bother about condemnation, to be ridiculed or taunted, as Almighty himself do care for him. So we should do noble deeds freely.

परहित में जब हम जीते,

कभी नहीं रहते रीते,

ध्यान हमारा ईश्वर रखते,

स्वस्थ मस्त जीवन बीते।

भक्ति

*जाति पाँति कुल धर्म बड़ाई।*

*धन बल परिजन गुन चतुराई॥*

*भगति हीन नर सोहइ कैसा।*

*बिनु जल बारिद देखिअ जैसा॥*

रामचरित मानस : अरण्य कांड।

भक्ति की महिमा बताते हुए गोस्वामी तुलसीदास जी ने कहा चाहे मनुष्य जाति, पाँति, कुल, धर्म, बड़ाई, धन, बल, कुटुम्ब, गुण और चतुरता आदि से सज्जित हो किन्तु भक्ति से रहित है, तो वह एक जलहीन बादल के समान शोभाहीन दिखाई पड़ता है।

A person who is having a good race, power, religion, magnificence, wealth, strength, family, virtues and cleverness, but is devoid of devotion, then he is like a meager cloud.

महत्त्व

*उपभोग कातराणां पुरुषाणामर्थसंचयपराणां।*

*कन्यामणिरिव सदने तिष्ठत्यर्थ: परस्यार्थे।।*

अपने परिश्रम द्वारा संपत्ति अर्जित करने में कुशल किंतु उसका उपभोग करने से डरने वाले व्यक्तियों की संपत्ति उनके घर में उनकी एक मणि के समान मूल्यवान और सुन्दर कन्या के समान रहती है, जो अन्ततः (विवाहित हो कर) किसी दूसरे के घर में चली जायेगी।

Those persons who are expert in acquiring wealth but are afraid of enjoying it by conspicuous consumption, their wealth is like their daughter, beautiful and precious like a jewel, who will ultimately (on being married) go to another household.

पुरुषार्थ करें हम अर्थ कमाएँ,

उपभोग साथ में करते जाएँ,

धन का क्या है कब ठहरा है,

अर्थ यही हम अर्थ कमाएँ।

*ऐश्वर्येऽपि क्षमा यस्य दारिद्र्येऽपि हितैषिता।*

*आपत्तावपि  धीरत्वं  दधतो  मर्त्यता कथं।।*

जो व्यक्ति ऐश्वर्यवान होते हुए भी क्षमाशील होते हैं, दरिद्र होते हुए भी अन्य व्यक्तियों की सहायता को सदैव तत्पर रहते हैं, तथा विपत्ति आने पर भी अपना धैर्य नहीं खोते हैं तो वे भला मृत्यु से क्यों भयभीत होंगे?

Those persons who in spite of being powerful and prosperous are also forgiving in nature, in spite of being poor are always ready to help others, and remain courageous and firm even while facing a calamity, why will they be afraid of their mortality?

क्षमा करें हम धैर्य धरें,

मन में करुणा भाव भरें,

हम सब अंश परम के हैं,

 हम अनिष्ट से नहीं डरें।
